Dear Bow Tie Media,
I wanted to take the time to say thank you for sending me on my trip to Peru. I know that serving the Lord can be done in our neighborhoods, but to have the chance to do so in another country was a life changing experience. I was able to connect with so many new people and create a deeper friendship with fellow church members. We witnessed God’s work in so many ways. We bonded with the Peruvian children by playing games and coloring and were able to provide eye-glasses and medicine to families. Within a week we were able to treat a total of forty-five hundred people. During my time there I was able to see that I wasn’t just there to help and minister but also be ministered to. I was able to share my testimony and connect with others within the smaller cities and villages. We took turns riding up and down the dirt road with the children, played games, helped with craft projects, and helped the women serve and set up tables before meals. I honestly took more from this trip than I anticipated. So, thank you again and may God continue to bless you and your work.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” - Matthew 7:7 NIV
With Much Love and Thanks,
Bow Tie Media,
I'd like to start by saying that I assure you I will fail at truly expressing how thankful I am for helping make my trip to Ethiopia happen. Words will fall short. What happened in my life and heart on that trip has had an eternal impact.
We had the opportunity to spend time with 56 kids in the Be Loved program. We got to hang out with them, love on them, speak into their lives, serve them, encourage them, and teach them some life skills. We legitimately built real relationships and connections with these kids. That's something they haven't had much of in life. I fell in love with every single one of them.
These kids come from the darkest of circumstances and have faced things I don't even want to think about. Amazingly, despite those circumstances, they were the most joyful, thankful, faith-filled kids I've ever met.
It was humbling. It changed the way I think. It gave me important perspective about my time here on Earth and how important it is to invest in others. It was an absolute honor to serve and encourage them.
Thank you for being a part of that with me and helping this happen!
